Last week, my seven year old had "career day" at Awana. She had to wear a costume that represented the career she hoped to have when she grows up. So, you ask, what did she choose? A doctor, a teacher? Nope, not even close! She chose a rodeo star.
Just to give you a little history: I grew up on a ranch in the Sand Hills of Nebraska. My parents still live there and last year we purchased a miniature horse that we house on their ranch. The girls get to ride a few times a year. We have never entered a rodeo of any sort and I'm not even sure the girls have ever been to one!
Of course we came up with a cowboy hat, boots, scuffed up jeans, and a vest; she went to Awana as a rodeo star. On the way back from dropping her off, I asked the three year old, "what do you want to be when you grow up?" To which she responds, "a rockin' radio star."
Oh my, what have I created?!
Until Next Time,
Meg
love love it! ha! That's great!
